TWO STATES - crystal quartz / indian agate

TWO STATES earrings explore asymmetry. One earring forms a compact drop of crystal quartz, interrupted and anchored by a single bead of Indian agate. The other extends into a vertical line beginning and ending with Indian agate, and with its length marked by a simple hand-tied knot.

Crystal quartz holds light and transparency; Indian agate introduces density, variation and earth. No two agate beads are alike; tone and pattern shift from pair to pair, making each set subtly distinct.

The composition moves between circular and linear, tensioned and released, contained and extended. The knot is intentionally simple and can be undone and retied, allowing the longer drop to shift between a fixed point and a continuous line.

Hand-threaded and assembled in our atelier, each pair is made to order and available in very small quantities.. Natural variations are inherent to the materials and part of the work.
