STORY
I think of myself as a bit of a cultural chaos. I come from Argentina, carrying Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Swiss and Uruguayan roots—a mix of identities, traditions and perspectives that shape the way I see the world. Naturally, my design language reflects that. I’m drawn to unexpected combinations—materials, colours, techniques and meanings that shouldn’t work together. It’s not always linear. At times, I get lost in the process, but that’s where I believe that something truly new can emerge.
I grew up in a family that saw clothes as more than just things to wear. They carried history, care, attachment—chosen with intention, worn with pride, repaired and passed down. A well-made bag gifted on a milestone, a coat from a grandmother’s travels, a piece collected as a reminder of a place and time. These objects weren’t just owned; they were kept, valued and lived in. Most of them, are still in our wardrobes.
Today, fashion often moves in the opposite direction—fast, excessive, soulless. It creates without connection, discards without thought.
THE KNOT exists to challenge that.
To slow things down. To create pieces that last, that hold meaning, that become part of personal and collective stories. Objects with soul, not just products.
This isn’t about chasing trends or pushing more things into the world. It’s about designing fewer, intentional pieces—ones that are meant to be kept, collected, worn, repaired, regifted and passed down. It’s about honouring craftsmanship, supporting ethical production and embracing the imperfections along the way.
