STRUNG D004 layers two kinds of semi-precious stones, threaded with precision and patience, and assembled bead by bead. Black matte agate — a form of chalcedony with a smooth, almost velvety matte surface obtained with an oil treatment — forms the base. Layered above, black obsidian — a naturally occurring volcanic glass, sleek, dark and powerful — brings contrast and depth. One stone to stabilise, one to protect.
